What adhesive should I use?

I just got this replacement chrome piece between the 2 windows. It attaches to rear window by some type of adhesive. What's the best? Thanks

These are/were normally installed with”Tuff Pak” (spelling is suspect), a tacky, butyl coated, cork backed tape or ribbon. Nowadays they are usually installed with the same urethane adhesive that most fixed glass is installed with. Not sure if it is still available but it likely is.

Use 3m trim adhesive or the super trim adhesive

I used a strip of 3M 130C rubber tape folded over the edge of the glass, then pressed the trim channel over the tape/glass for a tight friction fit. I did that back in the mid-90s and it has help up well.

I posted a similar thread. Here is the response i got.
They don't use adhesive, they use a kind of rubber mounting "tape". It doesn't have any adhesive on it, it's a friction fit. You wrap it around the front of the glass & carefully tap the chrome molding onto the glass, trim the excess with a razor blade, then slide the verticle weather strip in place. If you have a good glass shop in your area they should have some, There's 2 thicknesses of the tape, our cars take the thinner of the 2 I believe. I had my local glass shop do mine, it cost me $5. The Parts Place does sell some pre-molded pieces for $8 a pair. They're in the "exterior moldings, mirrors & door handles" section.

Whatever you do don't use any of those preformed rubber channel pieces (which is likely what the piece from The Parts Place is)....they aren't sticky like the glass tape material and may not hold the chrome channel on.
