I've seen a bunch of various 60's era conversions like that - pretty cool, but not real reliable

Very cool. If it were restored it would be even cooler than towing an Airstream with your Olds.

The only Oldsmobile part of it seems to be the some of the sheet metal.
Mopar driveline, Ford front axle, Chevy rear, Put an AMC radiator in and it will cover just about every automaker from 1959.

Has Been parked since 1968. 59 olds body has a 1-ton Ford front straight axle 1 ton Chevy truck rear end Chrysler motor and transmission with leaf springs all the way around.
I think I can still hear Johnny Cash singing in the background...
