Hello is there any way to find out my uncles car history
Buick has Sloan docs
Is there anything like that for Oldsmobile
Would like to know at least we’re the car was sold to get a license plate frame for my uncle
Thanks
Do you have the POP warranty card? That will tell you who the selling dealership is.
The firewall tag will tell you which plant it is manufactured from but that won't help much with dealer location.
A good 'starting' point is to follow the suggestion in Post #4 (droldsmorland) - post a picture of the cowl (data/firewall) tag. Members can decipher the cowl tag data for you i.e. was in built in Lansing, Fremont, Canada, etc.? Cowl tag will provide useful information (as stated) regarding the 'build' of the car. You could help move this along by indicating what model & year of your Uncle's car then the cowl tag can validate.
As suggested, determining its point of origin could be very helpful. For instance, if it was originally built or sold in Canada a lot of information can be had from www.vintagevehicleservices.com .
EDIT: May seem like a longshot, but lots of Canadian cars have found their way down to California!

I have found a build sheet on top of the gas tank on several Fremont built cars. If the gas tank has never been off it that would be a good place to check.

Members w/ more knowledge/information than me will have to fill in the gaps - I am not worthy.

You're one fan blade nick on that rubber fuel hose on the pressure side away from a car fire.
John - You mention a valid point; however, it appears the fuel line has been re-routed (or shortened) based upon the 1st image in Post #12 (note location of fuel filter). I believe the 1st image is the 'after' image; the 3rd image is the 'before' image.

You've done a lot of good work so far. We all love to see our favorite cars being brought back so nicely.
Here's an observation: The water supply to the heater core requires a restrictor fitting to avoid high pressure that will blow out the core. Check to be sure the hose adapter from the half-inch galvanized street el has that restriction. If not, keep the engine revs low until you fix that.

This fitting goes straight to the intake manifold right
Yes, this is the way the factory did it.
However, the fitting is half-inch. Your aftermarket intake manifold has a 3/4-inch opening, so a bushing is needed between the fitting and manifold.
If you put it in the manifold without an elbow, you will need to use the factory-style molded hose to avoid kinking.
The factory-style hose from Fusick is on page 53 in the catalog. You will have to call them to find out which to use because they list two hoses for your car, 400548 and 400888.
What wheels are on that GSX? They look close to the Buick rally's but just different enough to be noticeable. I'm a sucker for '70 GS cars but your uncle made a good decision on his '69!

Generally better quality and fit. They don't sell chevy parts that others will, to tell you that it will fit your Olds. They make a lot of the parts that they sell, and have been around for decades.
