Just picked up an aftermarket w30 hood, the corner by the drivers side windshield is broken and it has a few other chips and nicks here and there but should be fixable and I got it dirt cheap. Thing is if didn't notice it in the pictures but when I got there to pick it up the scoops did not have an opening cut out, when u look from the underside it has the cutout for the air cleaner and there's deft a hallow channel going towards the front of the hood but sealed up from the outside. Anyone ever seen this before, is it possible it just got glassed over during bodywork or did some come this way ? I wanted one for the look and don't really care if it's functional but to me it just looks odd, should I try and cut it out it needs bodywork anyway or just leave it as is.

 

My first OAI hood came that way. It was an aftermarket all fiberglass unit from US Body Source. You had to cut out the scoops and the hold downs. I little finesse with a hand saw and some files and it was gtg
