Question for the experts. When did production of the W-455 Aluminum intake cease. I have had this intake in my collection for 20 years & just noticed that it was cast 11.20.74 (November 20, 1974).


Also at what point on the 1970 models did the Oldsmobile W-455 intakes run out & were supplanted by the Olds W-455 intake? Was that Jan 1 1970 or was it a little later?

W455 is on my car. Supposed stoped and late 70 w30 and on got the olds 445 written. I've never seen what you have

My Nov 79 parts catalog still has both the 70 and the 71/72 intakes listed.

As for the date when the change from Oldsmobile W-455 to Olds W-455 happpened, my notes say 12/69. These are notes taken from discussions on this site.
