W-30/W-31 side stripes

I know this has been beat to death but i'm having difficulty finding the info.
I am restoring a W-31 and have a few questions on the side stripes.
(1) How thick is the big stripe? 2 1/4"??
(2) Is this stripe consistant in front of the front wheel and behind the rear wheel? Thickness wise?
(3) Location of the front fender stripes(Front of wheel) Maybe in relation to the marker light?
(4) same question on the rear quarter behind the wheel?

If anyone with an original could forward pictures with dimensions that would be great

I have sourced the OEM blueprints and this info is not clear
THANKS
John

Get a assembly manual, and it will give you all that info and more.

I have it, it is not that detailed. In fact the OEM blueprints show more than the ***. manual

John,
In response to your PM, my W-31 post was smacked up front in 1977 so it was repainted. My stripes are no longer original, so I wouldn't trust them as templates for you.

I'd be amazed if a couple guys on here didn't have excellent original template measurements.

you can pm me your email. I have a w-30 with original paint stripes. They would be a guide to start as these were done at the factory in sections. mine have some horrible but neat inconsistencies. but at least you'd get the picture. I also have other ohotos of original cars. I keep as many as I can find.

somewhere I have a full size copy of the pattern they used at the factory (supposedly) take a look at pics of my car - send me a PM with your email and I can show you closeups of what I did. My car was repainted as well before I got it (late 70s).

I ended up using the stencil that all the repo houses sell. It was far from perfect but a great start. We then used tape to make sure the curves were correct. The wheel well curves were off more than anything.

Make sure the stripes end before the front fender ends and before the end of the quarter panel in back. The straight stripe in front of the side marker on the fender is NOT parallel to the ground, it heads up a bit towards the hood.
