The ONLY way I have figured out to get a FB URL link to work on our site is to do exactly what I just did....QUOTE the post containing the FB URL link. The URL link will then be rendered correctly.

Are the chrome valve covers and chrome oil filler cap wrong on this car?

Did you use a new roller when you painted it?

It's my understanding that the 66 and 67 W-30 factory cars got chromed valve covers and chromed oil cap. 67's got red fenderwells. I do not know if the earliest 67s still had black metal fenderwells. 67s also had the 67 442 valve cover info sticker on the port side valve cover like a normal 67 442; I think they had the official ten horsepower more number in the HP category. I think 69 H/Os also got chromed valve covers stock.

Track packs, either dealer installed or owner installed, were only the battery relocation gear, the cam and lifters, and the OAI shroud system, so a track pack car should not have the stuff listed above.

The chrome valve covers and chrome oil filler cap were available for '67s from the Dealer, per the parts list on the 2nd page of the attached Old's Marketing Memo to Dealers.

No trunk spatter paint, was this because it is a W30, or an F-85, or both?

66 did not have spatter paint in the trunk. 67 was the first year for that.

I do like the body color paint in the trunk, no way of covering any imperfections or rust or fifty some odd years of dirt and corrosion with that right? It looks nice.

I see a lot of nice 66 and 67 cars that the hood trim on the front edge does not line up with the trim above the head lights. The problem looks to me like some hoods curve down too much or up too much. How do you address this when restoring one? I see the car in the video trim looks perfect.

Pre-fit everything
Bend, cut , weld to whatever fitment and gap that you want
These cars fit like crap when new . I have a 66 4door car with 50k original miles and original paint and the fit of the panels and trim is horrible, but they were just building cars not show cars

67 W30 had the same 350 HP valve cover sticker as a standard 442. My valve cover still has the original sticker.
