Vented gas cap

I have a lot of back pressure when the gas cap is removed. I've been told that I need a vented cap, but not sure if that's the problem. I have a 1970 W31. Any other ideas, suggestions welcome!

Check the vent lines on the front corner of the tank on the passenger side. Factory did not use a vented cap.
