I finally got through and left a message lets hope it is open. This track is perfect for a lot of people. I love there attitude few hassles and a lot of fun. we all need to get back to our roots and show the world again. I believe it is time for a re birth of performance with little hassle and professionalism at the track. this place allows that. I just hope they call back.

Every year it's the same thing with 41. Are they going to reopen? Did it change hands? What's going on? I DO like their tech inspection. Here it is. "Do you have your entrance fee?"

I love there attitude also but they have not left a message yet this week. I was wondering do you live close to the track and have experience or local info? I like to drive the olds and race in a sane environment but with traffic it is getting to be a slight hassle over there even kennedy or 41 south is traffic laden. the trip has to be guaranteed to have a open strip when I arrive. please try Byron is nhra now and the grove is ok and 41 has perfect air and a great launch pad to boot.

Where are you coming from? It's a drive from just about anywhere. Unless you're in Indiana. I'm in Lemont, used to be in New Lenox, used to be in Tinley. Kept moving father away. 66 was in my backyard, 10 minutes away. That's where I hang out on test n tune nights. They have around 8 per year. Good times, great sunsets, nice weather. Seen Mr Nick there a few times. Plus during the last weekend of June, the NHRA comes to town. That's really fun.

66 is my local track also. It's a very nice track and they are proud of it too ($$$). But I never go since I'm lucky to get two runs in after waiting in line for 5 hours. It was MUCH better when I was there for the Supercar Reunion a few years ago. The track was all ours and I got in a bunch of runs. I usually head to 41, Byron also, but I have a little trouble getting the polyglas to hook at Byron for some reason. I need to get the car back together for a TnT at 41 this spring. I'm very anxious to see how the new surface hooks and also I've never run the car with the 4.33s in it there.

I went to 66 before and the waite was huge to get a few runs in . I have a few friends in that area who are reconfirming the exact situations still exist today. I like to make more then a few runs on t@t day and 41 always had at least around 4 or 5 per day so it makes sense to go there plus what I said on my previous statements holds. 41 NEVER CALLED BACK THIS LAST WEEK OR EMAILED SO IT IS QUESTIONABLE WETHER THEY WILL BE OPEN ANY TIME SOON! I ONLY FOUND THERE NUMBER ONLINE AFTER SEVERAL DOZEN ATTEMPTS AT RE ENTERING THERE NAME. TIME WILL TELL.

Calm down. They run the track like their tech inspection. Sloppy. Just wait until spring and you'll get your answer.

I hope it holds that they open soon. I like to get groups together to run on certain days and like I stated earlier at 1 time I wanted to rent the place for a gathering. we all would have put our money into a controlled acct for the track to monitor. Byron when I run there has too many bracket days and you run with a crowd of bracket racers usually so that is a bummer. the grove has rather large crowds and moves kinda slowly. 66 has a certain amount of problems also. 41 is almost perfect for racing no bs across the line but safety in mind. this is my kinda track. fun and safe.

Ha! Fun and safe? I found it to be fun and no holds barred. I like it that way though. I think they have an ambulance but it's up on blocks at the back of the track. I've been there for track rentals and THAT is fun. You can hot lap if you want or stop to adjust and cool. Just don't break if you didn't bring a trailer. 300 bucks back to Tinley one time for me. 66 is a real PITA unless, you get there early.

well the talking might finally be over on this tracks opening date I go a hold of them and next weekend supposedly will be the week there open. I asked about renting it and even a weekday is ridiculous in price to consider. I have been quoted much lower prices at other tracks before. The rental idea due to timing is out guys for this year.
