thanks for the feedback it is a f----ng shame that dragtrips are closing around us today. I think that too many people nowadays are to involved with computers and fantasy bs. I really wanted to get back to a grass roots performance scene see you on the streets this summer.

new owners again? geez. hopefully the communication gets better as you never know if they are open or not. The track does hook though, especially for us "slow" Pure Stock cars

absolutely 25 bucks and bam there ya go. I really hope that it opens up again this year with just realistic safety rules this place is fun city and no one bothers you/ maybe cornfields? I also looked up the grove for kicks it is back to ihra rules fyi. the thrill of racing cannot really be matched along with common sense rules of course. I also love the street angle of feeling that the city layed the concrete for your night, although getting busted and having your car impounded is not my idea of fun. lets hope this place opens up legal street racing at the track is where it really is and something all of us amateurs have to shoot for true professionalism"

I hope the track lives on, tho im guilty I have not been their to support it in a few years.
Last time i remember they were charging normal spectator or driver fee plus extra if you had a picnic type cooler and checking for booze. I'd always try and park near the end of track and sit with some lawn chairs. The stadium seats were weak and dangerous to me. If they had not changed them I hope they will eventually.

I like byron personally they tend to move their lanes pretty fast. I like the grove but on a busy day the lanes can move real slow. I will admit its been a few years since i hit the track but last time out it was about 2-3 hrs. between runs at the grove that anoyed the hell out of me considering i paid 40 bucks for a test and tune and it took all damn day to make 3 runs . Also byron is about 40 miles from me.

66 is a 15 minute drive from me. I saw Mr Nick laying down some good smack there last year. I hate breaking parts. I will watch. Maybe I'll run something else this year, I don't know.

did you read the thread on yellowbullet that is linked from the post above?

Rt66 is local to me, but it sucks spending 5 hours in line getting only 2 runs in. This is why I usually headed to US41 for TnT. I go real early or real late in the season and it's always been very few people. and GREAT air, -1068 DA one time in November when I ripped off an outstanding run in the poncho

ah 66 seems nice but when I was doing some heavy work on my cutlass out there I heard they were heavy on bs rules are they still doing that? I have a depot close to 66 maybe 15 minutes away can someone chime in with real info from last year. I like Byron, the grove and 41 I usually pick a track or 2 per year and just run and plan around the weekends for all activities.

I do not go on all websites just usually this one so I rely on this given info here. I finally found info on 41 and it looks to have been sold this year and being fixed. I was wondering from someone who hooks up with facebook if this track will re-open this year. I really hope it opens again we need a track south of Chicago where we can meet competition form other territories/Indiana ohio etc with no resident hassles and we ALL NEED TO SUPPORT THERE PLACE FOR OUR FUTURE IN THIS HOBBY. thanks jfb.
