Turn Signal Troubles

Hello everyone,

I am working on my 1960 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 and getting everything working again. The problem is when I turn on the right turn signal, the dash lights blink along with it. Also, when the headlights/park lights are on, the blinkers do not work. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Another note, I am still on the hunt for the front turn signal/parking lights so they are not installed on the car. Would not having these installed cause the symptoms described above?

Thanks for any help or insight to the problem!

One or more of your 1157 bulbs has a bad ground, either between the bulb and the socket or between the socket and the body. Look closely at each bulb when you have only the turn signals on. The bulb with both filaments illuminated by the turn signal circuit is the one with a bad ground.
