Trying to find a molding clip for 64 Cutlass

I am missing a couple of the clips that keep this molding on that separates the upper and lower body colors.

This is the clip I need. Anyone know where I can find some?

Thats a pretty standard clip, AU-VE-CO products or see if a local body shop may have one.

Yeah I've tried the auveco catalog online but their drawings stink

I remember a few years ago a body shop supplier had a book, I'll have to see if they are still in business. I've seen a metal version but it uses a nut on the backside and that isn't going to work

There are some universal metal break to fit push in fasteners. I used some of those on my trim for the front fender in a blind area. They worked well!

You could always do what someone did on my car before I bought it. They took some sheet metal screws and screwed right through the molding into the clip holes to hold it on! At least they used standard metal screws instead of Stainless so the nice rusty screws to break up all that ugly chrome molding. Looks awesome!

You can usually use the universal metal trim clips like this one if you can't find the right snap-in ones. I prefer using a nut on the backside anyway. You can access the nuts from inside the trunk. Whichever clip you use, be sure to put sealer on the stud or spring fingers to prevent water from getting inside the trunk.
