Trying to determine value.

Trying to determine value.
I picked this up today. I believe it to be an original OAI unit.
Do they have part #'s on them somewhere? It really is pretty sweet.
Not a rusted out pos. Bead blasted and painted it would be really nice.
Oh, I forgot to add, it has a rubber plug on the other side.
While I'm at it... I found an original OAI hood. I dont know what year it is.
Could be a 70, 71 or 72. Any way to tell on those? Lady wants 12 bills.
What are the values on these that aren't busted to bupkis?

Just my $.02 but In present condition and being original OAI base, I would put that piece at least $175.00 depending on how bad someone needs it?
As far as hood goes, there is obvious diff between 70 hood and 71-72 by looking at front edge of hood. An original OIA hood for any of those years highly depends on condition of frame and fiberglass. If its all together with minor rust and chips or small cracks and everything intact. +/-$1,500-2,500
I'd like to have both.

Hmmm. If it's a 70, the 442 that fell in my lap could probably use both...
Funny thing is, I found these in the trunk with other misc. pieces.
The one on it is a 70, double hump, (442) unit, but red.
Now for a little twist, the hood that is part of the subject in this post,
belonged to the same person that sold my bud this car before I got it
from him. Hmmm.

For what it is worth I will give you my opinion on what year the air cleaner is, first off the small lid appears to be the correct one for OAI and secondly the base is off a 1970 car. The 70 air cleaners had a hole at the end of the snorkel for California emissions at least this is what I have found to be true, also it came off a 442 not W30 car since it has the plug where the second breather tube would go.
Hope this helps

Thank you Fred, that helps a lot. All these pieces came from the same place as
the 70 442 that I am getting from a friend. Makes me think that it may BE
the original breather for that car. Is there anyway to tell if that car came from
the factory with OAI that you may know of?

Well, I gave all 3 pieces a soap & water bath, no paint code, but
the base only has 2/3 of it's paint left anyway. Another question:
Did the 442's, not W-30's that were factory equipped OAI in 70
have E and not F heads with iron intakes? I haven't checked the pad #,
but it is a E headed unit with iron intake.

442
E heads
iron intake
I believe OAI hood/ air cleaner was an option [W25] also
442 W30
F heads
AL intake
OAI air cleaner to match the hood
