Trans rebuild kits
I know some of you rebuild your own transmissions so where is the best place to buy the kits? I want to rebuild a (GASP) 67 Jetaway for a street rod project. Not a hot rod, just a stock engine and drivable trans.

How hard is it to rebuild one of these? I have built Turbo 350's and Chevy Powerglides. Is this similar to the Glides? I have a factory transmission manual that goes into great detail. Just don't have the special tools at my disposal.

Get the CDs showing step by step if one exists? Youtube? TransStar Industries Inc distributors for the parts if you have one around you. Could try a good non-big box auto parts store, NAPA, Federated, United etc...Go to one of the better trans shops around you and ask to purchase one of their kits or maybe they can assemble you a kit. If you can befriend someone at one of the trans shops even better as they can help you if you get into a bind. Most shops are willing and friendly as long as your patient and thankful. Google Jetaway. If you can do a TH350 a Jetaway shouldnt be a problem. Be sure to do the bushings too. If you do find a specialist for these trannys please post it here.
