Grab a tape measure, check your frame rails, and head to the junkyard. A mid-sized pickup like a Dakota or Tundra might be close. Plus, you get a modern, 7 pin plug.

Yeah, he loves riding in and driving my 68 Toro. I am sure it reminds him of his dad.

My trailer is a basic 4 pin setup that mates with my 1998 Jeep.

After examining the pictures, I’m thinking a receiver hitch would be more inconspicuous. We have a lot of shops that build custom hitches for Jeeps and such, so one of those could build me a (mostly) hidden receiver hitch.
Maybe so. That might be the way to go. The Toyota Tacoma is the midsize offering; the Tundra is big. I bought a Toyota factory accessory hitch for my truck the style of which could work for a Cutlass. You basically want to bolt to the sides of the frame rails near the ends in a pattern that stops all 6 degrees of freedom, meaning forward/backward, up/down, and left/right movement (left/right will be done by a tight fit), and enough bolts to handle torsion around all three axes. Oddly enough, small receiver hitches are attached to mid size SUVs like our Highlander as well. We're doing something at the plant bringing more factory/dealer accessories online instead of done by the logistics folks, so we have hitch install now and I can get a pic of a highlander hitch if you want.

I have a Curt receiver hitch on one of the vehicles and some brand (?) receiver hitch on the Jeep so I have a general idea of how it should mount. But if it’s easy to get a pic, please do.

Yeah, I live in the past, with the ‘71 Olds and the ‘98 Jeep. My newest vehicle was built in ‘05. And I have an iPhone 6.

It was a Duck Dodgers joke, dude. No big deal.

But, your newest vehicle is newer than mine (2002)

Just out of curiosity, what were the A body cars rated as far as trailer towing capacity?what about the station wagons? I’m guessing engine and options played a huge part in the ratings. I’m sure someone has a service or owners manual handy.
