tilt wheel column

tilt wheel column

ok i got a good one for you experts out there. just recieved via ups a used floorshift tilt column for a 70 442. after opening box and packing i noticed 5-6 b.b size bearings on the floor?????? tilt mech seems to work right. where could these have come from???????????

ok to answer my own question after looking at column it is the upper bearing. now where do i get new bearing? also would like to replace turn signal mech+ the steering harness. can i get these from napa or?? thanks for any help..

In the tilt housing theres a top and bottom ball bearing that supports the steering shaft. They have plastic cages and are pretty delicate. Just my guess.
