It appears to be a very original nice car. You don't see many that have not been hot rodded or had the crap run out of them. Somebody else will have to weigh in on the price. It seems to be well documented and well optioned. I like the car.

Looks almost exactly like mine.... but in better shape.
Hard to tell from the photos if anything is rough around the edges.
My 69 with way more miles but a fresh motor and some rough spots here and there was professionally appraised (for insurance purposes) to be worth just over 8K.
If it's clean, runs well and isn't rusted then IMO the asking price is in the ballpark.

I don't know about those wheels, maybe someone else can comment on them.

Looks good in the pictures, but obviously closer inspection is required. Call me paranoid, but whenever I see "no holes in floor or frame", that's usually code for "there's rust and bondo in the fenders". It doesn't say "original paint", so again I assume a repaint with rust repair. Bring a magnet.

from the seller:
Thanks for getting back to me. This car is original and 41 years old. it does have a few rust spots in the lower rear quarters and a small spot on the door and the front fender. The worst rust is in the trunk filler extensions, they will probably need replaced. you can buy the pair from year one for under $170. Wheel arches are solid, as is the floor panels and the trunk panels. This car hasn't been in snow for well over 30 years and only a couple pop up thunderstorms since I bought it in 2000. If it was rust free, I would be asking top dollar which NADA says is upwards of $23,000. I would be happy to meet you somewhere and let you inspect the car for yourself. I live about ten miles south of Goshen.

Not sure about how rare the floor shift is, but the 3 spoke steering wheel is. The center console under the dash is not stock. Hubcaps might be, but probably not the spinners.
Think it's worth a look, but then again I am partial to 69 convertibles

What the guy is telling you is it needs a total restoration. It's a $3-4000 car. Metal, bodywork, & paint will run $10-$15,000 for that car

I was at a show and was talking to a guy who bought a 69 Cutlass S convertible that was completely restored and painted black. Stunning car and he bought it for 19k.

The car your looking at does look very clean. I guess it would be up to you if you were just going to drive it as a driver or make it into a show car. As a show car, with the purchase price, bodywork and paint, you could easily be north of 20k.

In person look is mandatory, love it when sellers make light of things as the rot seems more than minimal especially trunk area. But he has a solution as he is telling you where to get the parts...... "all you need to do is"..... well maybe he should do it before he sells it if its that easy. looks like drivers side Ac dash vent is missing? Hubcaps are wrong. Who know what it looks like under the hood..... Look, see, think, and decide. Make sure you check the frame as they get lots of snow in upstate NY.

If the car looks good upon inspection and you aren't looking for a show car (meaning restored, trailored and never driven) the $10k is cheap for a conv. This is something you can enjoy while fixing up. A paint job can run around $10k, so getting the car for this is pretty good. Just make sure it is inspected before hand so there are no costly surprises. My $0.02
