For those looking for that "rare" 1971 W31 ...

... here it is.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1971-...#ht_500wt_1182

Cutlass Supreme
Came in three colors
Last year of W-31
Old's

Anyway, aside from the misinformation (or just plain B S), it looks like a nice car.

Looks to be a nice car & not a bad price. Odd that it is missing the hood locks.

Looks like he changed the add to a cutlass supreme. For those of us that don't know, what were the issues with the post?

It wasn't the post per say, more like the ebay sellers claim.
#1 Cutlass Supreme, actually an #87 F-85,S or 442 body less converts
#2 W-31 engine??? Looks like everyone here thought is was stated as a W-31, 2 problems W-31 option 68-70 only plus it has a Z in the VIN which should be Fremont build, W machines only M or Lansing builds only.
#3 Three colors only, I think most color combos were available to any W machine.

Still as few people said, appears to be a nice looking car except for the missing hood locks.

Yep....now he's calling it a Cutlass Supreme when it's a Cutlass S. He also has it listed with "original" hood stripes. which they aren't, they're covering the entire hood scoop. I don't think they added the pinstripe outline, either.

also just noticed the 12 bolt differential. Unless it was changed, it's not original either.

The color information he states is jumbled from the extra-cost colors available in 1970 and 1971.

It's a nice old car with a decent price. Some people are ignorant on what they have or do not have. At least he didn't say it was one of a kind!
