Th350 detent cable location, HELP

I just yanked my 307 & 200 4r out of my 90 estate wagon yesterday and I'm getting ready to drop in my 70 350 & th350 trans. I have no clue where to run the 350 cable to. Does it go to the carb (quadrajet) like the 200 or does it go to the gas pedal? If it goes to the gas pedal, how does it attach and or how do I adjust it. I have a 69 skylark with a 350 trans and it looks like it goes through the fire wall, I have older type gas pedals laying around so if I need to change it I can.

Being a 70, it goes to the gas pedal. You will need to change the gas pedal.

A 1990 Buick Estate wagon will not have the provisions for a pedal-actuated TH350 kickdown. You need to get the cable and bracket for a late-70s B/C-body car with TH350. Unfortunately, the original 1970 carb won't have a throttle arm configured to accept this. You might be better off with an aftermarket TH350 kickdown cable.

Do they make an aftermarket 350 cable that can clip into the bracket on the carb like the 200? If so I can take the bracket off the 307 carb. Also option two, does it have to be a B, or C body pedal or can I use one of my late 60s- early 70s A body pedals I have on a shelf. It sounds like I'm going to have to drill a hole in the fire wall but where, i have no idea yet.

Again, there is no factory pedal for the 1977-1990 cars that accepts the cable like the early ones. I have no idea if you can retrofit the older pedal assembly. Pull the one off the car and compare it carefully with the A-body one you have. The hole in the firewall was square so the A-body cable could snap in. You also need to pay attention to the dimension from the firewall to the tab on the pedal. If it is significantly different from the A-body design, you may not have enough adjustment to allow the factory cable to work. This is why I suggested just using an aftermarket cable that runs to the carb arm. These typically have a LOT of adjustment for different applications.
