I have a 1979 Cutlass Supreme with gauges. 260ci V8 Code F engine 1/2" x 14 NPT

I need a replacement temperature sender unit

it seems most of the replacements are for idiot lights, not gauges. Also I've read a lot of the replacements do not read correctly.

Any recommendations??? Brand? Part # place where purchased?? Experiences?

Are they all the same unit from 1966-84 like some say??? I tried one from my '67 olds and it did not read correctly..
