72 Supreme vinyl top was removed by previous owner years ago. I am going to put the top back on the car. I have all molding pieces and stud welder for pins to put back as original. Their are two holes by where the corner piece attaches that were welded over. I know the one on the deck lid is where the new piece will fasten (see where it is beginning to crack) but what is this second hole on the rear pillar for? This looks like a factory hole and was welded over at one time. The corner piece if placed in the hole on the deck lid would not cover the hole on the pillar, so it could not have been for a second stud on original corners. Could this be a hole created by a weld pin? It is also the same on the other side. The belt molding would cover this hole but does not have a stud either and is attached by plastic clips and welded pin.
