That Plymouth should be red. Shades of Christine - what a gorgeous old yacht. 58 Plymouth Fury. Y'know, the styling dept of Plymouth really hit a home run with that one IMO. That blue 69 4 door shows really well doesn't it? Not a car you see around much any more.

Are you sure it isn't a 57 Fury--the grille emblem looks 57.

I do believe you're right. My bad. You must have some Mopar blood running through your veins. I love the look of those cars - no matter what the grill ornament is. I think they were way ahead of their time in the styling department. I should have looked at the lower grill behind the license plate and lettering on the hood. Those would have been better clues.

1958

1957

I agree. It chokes 57 Chevy guys when I remind them that their beloved cars look just like 56 Plymouths.

As usual Sandy great pictures.

Allan the biggest giveaway for me on the 57/58 Plymouth is the inboard "headlight" position is actually the turn signal.

Yer kiddin me right? I would never have thought that. So the 57 only has a 2 lamp system and the 58 has 4? Where are the front blinkers on the 58? Must be hidden behind the grill?

Allan the turn signals on the 58 are the little triangle section between the tops of the headlights. Check out your Christine picture and you can just see it under the eyebrow. Also different, but not evident from these pictures, the tail lights are different and so it the side trim. And like you said, lots of other little things. I love the 58 Plymouth. I want to put bumper wings on everything I have.

Mike, that's so cool. I miss the days when the model year styling made you notice the differences. Nowadays you get pretty much the same car for 6 years with very minor trim or interior changes.

Take a close look at the air cleaner on the Plymouth. I don't know squat about Plymouths but I think they had 2-4's available that year.

I saw that too and was wondering about it. Very cool looking air breathers. Even they had style...
