Take a guess
I guess I'm going to to cash in my bucket of change I've been saving for quite awhile now. To pay for the a/c. System For my Omega. Anybody care to guess how much is in it? It's a dry wall bucket and is slightly under half full. My wife and I are going to the beach for a few days so it may be a while till I get it counted.

Back when I was repoing cars, I filled a 5 gallon water cooler jug with all the loose change from the unclaimed property left in the cars. It was between $1300 to $1400 filled to the very top lip. Is your drywall bucket a 3 gallon or a 5?

I'm gonna guess 780. I have a coffee can full 0f nothing but silver colored change and one with pennies. The silver can is at 126 and the can isn't even half full. And I only counted half.

Last time I counted it I found a steel penny "1943". That's why I count it by hand. This time I'll take it to the bank.

No idea maybe 10,000% of face value! I thought it was odd but then some gave it me and I put it in bucket without seeing it. I found 2, 1/2 pennys from the early 1700s whIle hunting arrow heads . 1 on one end of the field the other one on the other end a couple years apart.I always thought they were worth something . Long story short I think I'd have a hard time getting a 1/2 penny for them . I don't even know where they are know.

I throw all my change in a bowl because I'm too lazy to constantly dig it out while paying. My bowl is worth 20.00 usually so a 5 gallon bucket should cash in well. Just don't go to a machine that charges 10 percent

My family and I filled this and used it to help pay for vacation a year or so ago and filled to the top it was $750. I think half a 5 gallon bucket would be almost twice that but I could be wrong.

Yeah but I don't see any pennies in your jug...wait I zoomed in on it I see pennies

a quart jar is $67 +or- a little bit, but pretty consistent..i fill one up about 10 or 11 times a year..just dumped one thursday...$66 and some change..and it was as full as it could be,,,i shake it often to get it all to lay flat..

I took about 300 worth of change to the bank to have counted and the machine shorted me $6. It always shorts me a few cents here and there but 6 bucks? I complained fairly loudly, knowing full well they wouldn't do anything about it, and guess what, they said sorry, we can't do anything about it.
So my suggestion is count it by hand and roll it and take it a few rolls at a time.

When one teller gave me grief I told her, "Go ahead, open up each roll and count them." And that's exactly what she did, with a line of people behind me. To my embarrassment, she found several Canadian coins and one roll a nickel short.

But I agree. I enjoy rolling coins. Where else can you make such good money doing mindless work?

I don't think my bank will accept any hand rolled coinage, and neither do the local grocery stores, if you try to buy a few bucks of grindage.
I would think half of a five gallon bucket would hit upwards of 800 bucks and maybe a thousand. It really depends.
My official guess is 904 bucks.
Curious to know MrRail.

I have 3 clay cup that the kids made when they were in school, they sit on my dresser,1 for quarters,1 for dimes,1 for nickles and a tall rx bottle for pennies. when they get full I roll them up and put them in my safe. the pennies go into a very large jar that I cant lift. my guess on yours is 468.97
