Was wondering if anyone had a good pic of their 442 tailpipe hangers? I just picked up a set of the 442 style to replace the universal hangers i have, and want to get this perfect ! i could never get the universal ones to hold the tailpipe perfect in the cutout bumper..This is for my 72 cutlass supreme.Thanks
The 4-4-2 hangars are definitely different from the non-4-4-2 hangars. If not the correct specific to 4-4-2 versions, the trumpets will never line up with the bumper cutouts. The ebay link provided by Loaded are the correct versions. You can also order them from Oldsparts.com.
I put those 442 ones on my Cutlass after going years with universal hangers and never being able to get trumpets centered in cut outs. When I finally changed to the 442 hangers it all looks good and stays put. Try not to put the trumpets out too far, I see a lot of that....

Greg I have the pypes trumpets on mine so may differ a bit from originals . I agree with you on not sticking out too far. Right now that the case for me being as it’s more forgiving in the cutout. Hopefully these new hangers will allow me to get more precise with the placement .
quick and easy install yesterday .what a difference had to bend the brackets slightly im assuming due to the larger diameter than stock pipe but no big deal !
