Strap bolting question

Installed a gas tank in my 70 442 and have a question about the straps that hold the tank in. On the rear of the tank, the strap bends around two slots and has a single bolt in each side that goes into a pre-drilled hole on the end of the strap. My question is, should the bolt go through both sides of the strap? See picture.

Yes, the screw will first go thru the hole in the strap, thru the hole in the trunk pan fuel tank mount, and then threads into folded over part of the strap.

Thanks for the confirmation, looked like it had to be that way.

Probably too late for you now but the gas tank pad that goes on top of the tank is reproduced by one of our members - Patton Glade. Goes by 70Post on this site if you're interested. Many of us have bought from him and are very happy with his product/service and pricing.
