If your dad has some place to store them he MAW put and ad on CL or Hemmings and see if he has any interest. I know I would want to keep a straight 8 in an early 98 or 88 if I owned one. Talk about BAD@$$! Post pics stat!

Do you know that they are 257 Olds’ engines or perhaps Pontiac, Buick or such?

First thing is to identify the blocks.

Truth.

YES. I'd love to see them.

Are these "blocks" or "Complete engines"? Complete, or mostly-complete engines will be easier to sell than bare blocks.

If they are, the OHV Buick's are pretty desirable, probably the most of nearly any Straight 8.

Good morning guys
i like to say thanks again for all the help my dad went up into the barn and tried to find the casting numbers and wasn’t successful. I know we’re Olds guys but would anyone know where to start looking for numbers? He is 90% sure they are 37 special engine blocks with pistons and crank. He also has a box of misc parts.
any help is greatly appreciated.

Casting numbers will end up being important. What's more important right now is photos; doubly-so if these are complete engines rather than bare blocks.

Do you mean "1937 Buick Special" blocks with pistons and crank? Or do you mean that you have 37 of them?

Point taken. I will try to get my mom to take the pics and they should be blocks that came out of a 1937 Buick Special.

Whatever they are, they shouldn't be scrapped. Someone somewhere will be interested.
