Stock shifter to Hurst Dual gate

What is the diff between the stock shifter cable and the dual gate cable?
Are there different brackets on the trans?

The cable end at the shifter is longer on the dual gate. You can't use the standard cable with the dual gate in any way.
The bracket on the trans is the same for either cable.

Any other questons on installing the dual gate just ask.

what are other dual gate shifter cable options? my cable is longer than the standard automatic cable but is not long enough to work. i had to mount my shifter and console about 1/4 inch back from where it would have originaly been but the cable is about 1 1/4 to short. what is the correct length i need for a 70 cutlass?

i just called Fusick, they got one off the shelf to check the length for me. mine is 29 3/4 and his was 31 1/2 (eye to eye). that was my problem and i got one coming.

Fusick is so helpful and professional, i am glad they are there for us.

Hurst will recondition their original dual gate for a fee. Call them up to verify and print off the form to fill out and submit with your shifter.
