Stock color trunk spatter paint

Just want to make sure I'm getting it right I have a 72 Cutlass Supreme. Trunk was done before but was done with a bed liner. Yea it was a bi*#ch getting off. The car was made in Fremont CA. if that makes any difference.

And who sells the best paint for this?

Gray Black?
Black Aqua?

I used Dupli-Color spatter paint in a spray can, DM109 Black & Aqua, and it matched perfectly what was originally in my '69 4-4-2 convertible (Fremont build).

So I guess Black/Aqua is the right color for a 72?

I know it is for at least my '69. Takes 3 cans with a little left over. Sprayed it with flat black first and then it didn't require as much spatter

I bought quart black/aqua spatter paint from Ames Performance. They do Pontiac parts but some of it, including the spatter paint, matches Olds and the prices are usually better. Follow the directions carefully with respect to spray gun settings

I bought 4 cans of this factory GM spatter paint but haven’t laid it on yet. It’s still available at about $12 a can.
