Steering wheel

I did a dumb thing. A couple of years ago I replaced the ignition switch on my 87 Delta 88 and when I went to remove the horn pad I managed to break it. Been too long since I did it and don't remember how I broke it. Since I was having issues trying to get it running I boxed up the parts to be repaired later and later never came. Now I can't find the horn button to repair so I bought an entire steering wheel to get the pad. It will come assembled with the horn pad so I'm going to have to remove it to use and don't want to break this one. There is some kind of hidden clips holding it together other than the screws from the back. How should I remove this horn button?

I received the steering wheel and found it was easier off the car. There were a couple plastic hooks where you have to lift the button up before pulling it off. I must have resorted to prying it off thinking it was made to snap on.
