starting slow when cold
My 1970 350 starts slow when cold do you guys think it could be the starter drawing too many amps? The charging system and battery are good.
I think im gonna get me a starter. It starts like the car is hot and turns over real slow but starts right up?

Timing to far advanced or a bad ground or connection to the starter or bad solenoid. Have the starter bench tested. Then rebuilt if its bad. Load test the battery. Test and replace the cables especially if they are original. Replace with OEM from one of the resto vendors, not a chinese will fit. Theres a lot of resistance to over come in a good starting system and as the problems become additive it makes the starting system work that much harder. Clean and tight grounds are your friend in a negative ground vehicle. Same deal goes for the starter. Do not purchase a reman from a big box rather have the OEM rebuilt.
