Everything here is blooming/budding. Saw convertible's today running around with the top down, people in shorts and t-shirts... it is February!! We have had weeks of 15-20 degrees above normal... what is it like where you are?

Seriously?

Wed was plus 17, to-day plus 5. 99 percent of the snow is gone (but not in Barrie) The ice is all but melted on the canal, the river is still frozen but totally unsafe. A flash of lightening a couple of hours ago, rain tonight and possible wet flurries tomorrow afternoon. If there is no wind tomorrow I will work on the car in the driveway! If my shovel wasn't aluminium it would be rusty.

That's typical here in Phoenix. This time of year is the best convertible weather.

We had some really nice days for a week or more.I"ve been seeing lots of folks at the local parks.

Like Marx mentioned, its now below freezing...again. I'm not too surprised to see some trees budding, but seeing jonquil/daffodils breaking ground this early is a surprise.

Same here...we had a young girl , 16, go thru the ice on a sled and lost her life. Sudden onslaught of warmer temperatures has created dangerous ice conditions...

There's a happy thought ...

We're back on Vancouver Island from California, apparently a little too soon -- it's supposed to snow tonight.
