'70 Cutlass Supreme 'vert. I saw it last year at the same cruise in, but it has since changed owners. I chatted with the guy today and he's in the process if making it a 442 tribute.
Lemme tell ya, this beauty was loaded with options! Underhood is a 400/4 speed, but it's been retrofitted with OAI. I asked him if he was going to a 455, and he said that was the plan.
As I said, it had options galore...power hood release, power convertible top, console, AM/FM radio, tilt wheel and a few others I can't remember. But probably the most unique was the outside temp thermometer. If you look closely, you'll see it just forward of the driver side door mirror... interesting to say the least.
At any rate, it was nice to see and chat with a fellow Cutlass owner, and you can just see the top of mine that's three cars down from the 'vert.
Interesting that a 1970 had a 400 engine, which obviously was not available from the factory in 1970. Any idea if it was a 68-69 G block or an earlier short stroke 400? If it was an early 400 I would keep it over a 455. And all convertibles have power tops - that is not an option, it's the only way you got a convertible Olds.
