Sparky's Carburetor Service - OUTSTANDING

Sparky's Carb Service was overwhelmingly recommended on this site and now I share that sentiment. My friend sent his '69 H/O #s matching Q-jet to Sparky's for a complete restoration and several repairs and the finished product is nothing short of outstanding. Not only does it look unbelievable, we bolted it on and it fired right up and ran and performed perfectly - the car's never run so well! GREAT customer service as well. Fast turnaround and updates with progress pictures during the process. Sorry for the low-quality camera phone pictures - they don't do it justice.

I hope you don't mind me asking but what did it run to repair it roughly. I'm looking to ditch the edlebrock carb on my dads car and going to a q jet.

For the complete disassembly, replating, repairing stripped inlet threads, rebuilding (including new throttle shafts) ran about $500. Sounds like a lot but it's really only a tad more than a reman'd Q-jet from the speed shops yet he retains his 'as born', factory-correct carburetor.

Might be less for my dads. I'm just looking for a rebuild. But still 500 is a great price for a specialty shop.
