Thought I better get these up, Most are of the Oldsmobiles I found at the show and a few of the crowded park. There were 1300 vehicles there, and My wife and I participated in the parade which lasted 45 minutes to an hour. A four day event, we only were able to come on the third day Saturday, but was a great day none the less. Check out the barn find towards the end of the pics.
The amazing part of this, is that the host city (Devils Lake ND) is a small town (7141 population in 2010 census) next to an Indian Casino, military training facility (Camp Grafton) and what amounts to a miniature version of the Great Salt Lake: A lake that until recently was totally dependent on groundwater inlet and outlet--no rivers in or out. In the early 1940s, they thought the lake was going to dry up and blow away. Ten or twenty years ago, they thought it would swallow the town whole--which is when they dug some "outlets" to pull water off the lake and into a river system.
Cars come from all over the region, and that region includes a good share of Manitoba, Canada.

As I went through pictures it's funny how your eyes fixate on the cars I usto have. That 53 Hudson caught my eye and brought back high school memories. It was a great car for a teenager. I still contemplate adding one to my bucket list for different reasons than that of my teenage years. Thanks for posting.... Tedd
Schurkey you a Nodak too? I saw license plates from North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana, Nebraska, Manitoba, Montana, Illinois, and Kansas. Probably missed some others from Canada and elsewhere. Yes the Hudson hornet was there and I swear I took a pic of it, but can't find it. Was to my near home town today for the 4th of July parade and car show. It is also my 67th birthday. Saw alot of old friends, and the Cutlass did great on the trip, averaged 15+ mpg.at 75mph on most of the roads and 65mph on the back roads.
