1970 Olds 442 W-30
As the story goes, this is a re-creation of the rare factory drag cars sent out to approximately 50 dealers throughout the US that were in the drag racing program. I don't believe they were actually sold to the public, rather raced by dealerships that were on Dr. Olds High Performance Program.
- Radio delete
- Heater delete
- Low back seats (lightweight)
- NO power options (by design)
- 433 Olds 12-bolt rear-end
- Plus all standard high-performance W-30 equipment
- Car is complete and fully detailed
- Runs on pump gas and is fully driveable with no issues
- Brutally fast with great street manners!

Well, other than the fact that there are exactly NO "W-30" parts visible in any of the photos, sure, why not...
Where do I begin?
Black inner fenders, "O.A.I." ducting that pretty much defeats the purpose of having the W-25 hood, Cutlass grilles, Pontiac (?) upholstery, A/C alternator position (but no A/C), painted-over A/C relay on the pass-side fender, Holley carb, aftermarket valve covers, black painted intake (?), etc, etc. I doubt it even has a 344... VIN.
But he has lots of trophies...

From the equipment and story, sounds like the '66 track cars. Though, the early service manual showed the '70 OAI to be with the '69 style under the bumper set-up, until it was later updated with the production OAI hood & air cleaner.

As for the story, that's exactly what it is without documentation. Besides, it even says this is a "re-creation". It also says "no power options by design", yet this was obviously an A/C car.
Pretty crappy "re-creation"...

They should have put the "best offer" option on the listing. I don't get why people do fixed price and assume someone is going to jump on it. Everyone likes to get a deal and when you don't let someone negotiate a little then there is always a larger risk of a no-sale.
Anyway, the condition of the car overall probably could get close to the asking price. Doesn't look bad to me, just not what most people are looking for when it comes to a "W-30."

Sure, like the average person won't even notice it has the lightweight 442 side emblems or the crooked stripes. Fact is, that car would probably trophy over my 69 442 at a local show because people see red...W-30...the "story"....

I messaged him for information. Asked what VIN is and if block is numbers match. Also asked about the ram air ducts and hood not making sense.
His response:
"vin#336870E146932- fenderwells are plastic-block#396021F withEheads-yes it has disks! started life as a cutlass and recreated as what you see here! build sheet included! thanks for your interest in my car!"
