So I got 1000 miles on my new megavan...

and guess what it needs? http://www.nissanpartswebstore.com/p...17101PD1B.html

Split at the bottom. None in stock at dealer so I get to drive a Rogue for 3-5 business days. It is ok. You can be jealous.

Was wondering why my heat was lukewarm at idle. Now I know.

Stupid new cars...always breaking.

A couple years back, we were loaned a little Nissan Juke AWD when our Altima needed something. Tiny engine with tiny turbo. It was neat, but it was small. A short time later, my BIL buys that exact same car at the dealer. In short time the rear end went out. It left the factory with no lube in the housing.

Part of my line of thinking on getting this was that they have had that 5.6 around for forever, so I figured it would be dependable. After seeing the construction of the tank, it really is no surprise to me that it had a problem though.

After thinking about this some last night, it really is insane they have none of these tanks in stock. The same tank is shared by many of their full size vans. As a sidenote, the 2016 Rogue seems ok, took it to the store to load up on pool salt. Probably had the rear axle at its max weight, or at least it seemed that way. But I feel those who are looking at the Murano or Pathfinder (and don't absolutely need the room) will be well served by this Rogue. Seems like a good value with the updates.

They said they had someone from Nissan come down and take a look at it. Got it back yesterday. Tank replaced because it had a hole in the bottom of it. Coolant added and air bled from system. Didn't check the heat since it was hot outside, but I will keep an eye out for leaks on the driveway.

Took it to the car wash during lunch. This is going to be a beast to wax.
