Most are just people on the internet, not members.

Many times forums that use popular forum software (vbullitan, phpbb, etc) don't filter out web crawlers and adbots as actually users viewing the site as well. As koda said too, the majority of views are people that just end up on content from google searches.

We are all free to respond to posts as we see fit. It could be nobody has anything to say about a particular thread, and of course nobody is under any obligation to post a reply to anything.
On some British forums often a post from a new member asking for help is followed shortly by another post along the lines of "I asked for help two days ago, yet nobody has replied, what's going on!?!?!." Which normally get a response outlining that it's a free to use forum and help and advice is given by members who feel they can help and are willing to take the time to do so. But there is no obligation as nobody is getting paid to offer help or advice.

The same is true for this forum, maybe nobody has anything they want to contribute to a particular thread, be patient, somebody might. But also nobody might.

Roger.

A lot of people probably stop by, grab the info they need, and take off. I bet much of the traffic comes from restoration/customizing shops. Then there are undoubtedly the nostalgia type folks who had an Olds in the past and like to read about others who have them now. And then there are those afraid to type a word due to having a negative experience at other forums, not being great spellers, or just not being too social overall.

I'd like to encourage any of those holding back to become a part of this site as a member. Some of the best people around that really know these cars are here and we could use you as part of the community. So if you are reading this as a non-member, please join. We don't really even care if you can spell W-30. haha. No, really. Make your first post. Introduce yourself. Even if you don't have an Olds now. Who cares...just be a part of this. You won't regret it.
