Best Looking Olds Front views
I like front ends (on cars and women
) and think this is the best looking front on an Olds. When I lived in the states I looked hard for a 38 coupe but couldn't find or afford one. I do like some of the newer models with scoups and ram air intakes but this is just plane beautiful. Post your favorite front view.

Rdrokit, that is a great picture and gives new meaning to fat fendered. cutlassgal, that is a great picture of you 72 with the trees in the background. I am partial to 72's since I have had two of them. I think the picture of the 38 beats our 72's though. Again, all personal preference.

I like that 39. Another work of art and some real craftmanship. IMHO those qualities started disappearing in the mid 60s. Cars then started to get racey and some looked like they were going 60 while standing still but the art left them.

I like the 71 442 grill because its set back a ways, also a 57 Olds front end is top notch. I'm also partial to the 66 98 front ends. The 69 442 is right on too. I'd hate to pick a favorite.

To each their own but '55 and '57 Chebbies are cliche's of themselves IMO.
If I see one more of those tin cut-out things of them drywall screwed to the wall at a family restaurant I'll go bloody stark raving mad.
The funny part is that I've owned both.
The R.E.O. Speedwagon fire truck at the Jack Daniel's distillery is very nice.
I must go on a religous pilgrimage to visit it someday and drink in all of it's spirtual essence.
I'll check out the truck too if I can still stand up and walk by myself.
I think of new uses for that motorized La-Z-Boy chair every day.

Allan H, what a cool pic. I also found an REO Speedwagon in BC a couple of years ago. It was configured as a farm service delivery truck. Green. It was unlocked so I sat in the drivers seat and "pretended" for a bit. Then my wife came over and told me it was time to change my son....yeah it was quite a few years ago come to think of it. But at that time I didn't even know tha REO Speedwagon was an Oldsmobile. Always thought it was something made up for the REO Speedwagon group for the album "You can tune a Piano, but you Can't tuna fish" Now I is more sofisticated and edumicated, and feel smarter and still don't have enuff money.
Really?? Looks more like a 70 Merc Maurader. But I gotta admit there's someone out there with the most incredible sense of humor I've ever seen. Love the colors and neat arrangement!! You sure this wasn't left behind by aliens?

REO Speedwagon is a great group.
Didn't they they do that song "Stairway to We Stink"???
I was rooting for the storm in "Riding the Storm Out".
My grandfather worked at White Trucks in the axle division building the things and he taught me trucks so I knew that group was only basking in the reflected glory of the vehicle.
He gave me his cool magic socket wrench that would only make a quarter turn for every full turn for when the time study guys came in.

Cars from the eary 30's thru the late 50's all had individual style and each in their own way were works of art. The fronts always made a statement. My dad had a 39 Packard with two spares one in each front fender. I still see that car in my minds eye, god it was pretty.

It was removed and filled in by the prior owner. But I like the clean look of a car with minimal emblems and what not. Funny enough the wife's car came teh same way. I may paint something on there but rather not have a clunky emblem.

Ok so we have gotten a little of track and also have a modified Olds front view which I do like as I am an old drag racer. So since we have a modified front view here is a custom front view. Some of you from SoCal might recognize this car as it has been around for quite awhile. It is owned by JR of the Roamin' Relics Car Club out of Moorepark, CA. It is one of my most favorite Oldsmobiles and not just it's front end.
It started out it's life as a stock 47 Olds.
