Thanks for posting that. I haven't seen it in a long time. I was a teenager in the '80's when they did these showdowns and all I could do was mail for the videotapes. I have this one - on Betamax no less.
The times seem a whole lot closer to realistic than the so called 'stock' racing events you see these days where even small block cars run consistently in the 12's. Come on! It's cool how the owners get more power out of the cars but stock they ain't.
