What you guys think about doing something like this on the motor... Obviously it will look differently when i do them, hand painted. And the color will match the block color...

even though i know people are going to say keep it to the stock look, there is no problem with trying something different. Just want the opinions from people besides me...

The rallye LOL. and obviously the 350

 

Go for it! Maybe in the same "Rallye" colors and font would be cool.

 

So go with the gold covers and put the black letters with red/orange outline?

 

I think if you had it done right, in the same font and colors as the "Rallye 350" on the back quarter it would look good. Maybe not the sick nasty but that's your thing.

 

or black covers and have a graphic place do the "Sicky Olds" in "Rallye" font in yellow with orange outline both would be cool, the rest of the engine will be black right?

 

Or inverse the colors so you have a black VC with yellow script w/ orange outline...idk

 

No the engine is going to be gold... I had a spare set of valve covers so i stripped the paint and repainted one of them.

I am liking the Painting them Gold and then doing Sicky olds in Rallye font

 

Then go with the black font orange outline it would be sweet!

LOL and then i can paint the left side to say Sick and the right i can paint in the Oldsmobile

It is but valve covers are easily replaced. Just want to put a slight twist on it is all

 

How 'bout "Sick -n- Dirty"?

 

the sick nasty thing is one of myknicknames at work... just like sicky olds

 

Just don't open your hood around people with small children or they may grab their kids and give you the evil eye as they scurry away

kinda on subject off subject. I used to have a small bumper sticker on my olds that said your mom is my other ride. Me and the guys at work thought it was the funnniest thing . I would go to a cruise night and the smiles would stop at the bumper and people would walk away . Eventually i took it off when i got tired of explaining to people it was an inside joke . Tedd i can agree with you on the ame thing my name is ulises most people spell it ulysses now that right there i have to explain my whole life lol specially when people see it and try to say it i have to explain it's prnounced the same as ulysses just spelled diffrent lol.

 

Lol if they were an Olds guy i would care about they would be on this forum and understand the knickname . But seriously, the Sick nasty thing was 2 reasons. 1)knickname and 2.) This car is "sick nasty"

Looking at it more i am digging either the black with the yellow letters or the gold with the Black letters. Maybe i will make 2 sets and see what i like . Then i can have one set for each car lol

 

Just my opinion.......Paint the VC gold, paint top flat surface yellow, outline top flat surface with an Orange pin stripe, do a smaller "Rallye 350" separated by the breather hole. Put your "Sicky" logo on the radiator top plate.
