Shelby - Bad Move
I was just scrolling through the new Canadian Old Car Trader and was amazed at the number of new or newer Shelby's for sale .
Are they not what people expected ?
Just wondering.

Hi Maverick,
I am retired from Ford and can answer the question . They are great cars, but like Joe said, an expensive toy. The 500's are over 45k and that is allot of money in today's environment. Plus they came out with the non 500 version for the dealers and that has put the production #'s up significantly. They have 20 more HP than a standard GT and some suspension mods, but nothing like the 500 hp of the gt500. But when you look in the ads, there are allot of them mixed in.
So to make a long story short, If you can get a 500 in a desperation sale for 30 or less, it is a tremendous car to drive. Trouble is most people paid over sticker to get theirs.
Guys, I kept my Olds under cover for 26 years while at Ford. Now that I am retired, it is out and stretching it's legs again.
