seats

Both of mine are shot in my 68, anyone use aftermarket or junkyard seats with any success? Pics would be nice if you have them.

Welcome to the site Louie! You can have the originals rebuilt if you want, but it's not cheap. If the seat frames aren't totally rusted away dont' toss them! Someone else may want them as cores to rebuild. If you do swap out to newer seats you've got all kinds of options. But for safety sake, make sure you have them mounted to the floorboard well. Don't just drill a couple holes in the floorpan as the bolts could pull through in an accident. If you have time, try the search option on this site as I know there've been other threads on this topic. John

Welcome to the site, Louie!

What car are we talking about?
If the frames are good, quality repro seat covers are available presewn for popular models. Expect about 300-500 for the front and rear set. Foam can be had at local fabric stores.

There are many threads on here that discuss rebuilding seats.
What is your budget?

Rebuilding the seats is easy. Save your $$ for beer and do it yourself (while drinking said beers of course)

Thanks, I'll do some searching. Rear seat is good to go, 1 front could get by with a cover, the other needs foam etc. Was thinking about going with procar but I will check into others also.
