My 72 U code Supreme I had in high school had Saddle interior with buckets and it had Saddle seat belts. The 72 U code Supreme I just bought has black belts. Were colored belts an option or did it depend on the time the car was built? I'm wanting to switch to Saddle in the new car but would like to know the story on the belts. Also, my friend's 70 convertible has much larger buckles on his belts than on my 72. What's the deal?

 

For 1972, standard belts were black, the optional deluxe belts were color-matched. Note the table in the lower left of this page from the 1972 SPECS booklet.
