So today I went out of town to look at a motor I saw on craigslist. It was a 72 350 with edelbrock performer rpm heads and intake. MSD distributor and some other various stuff. The guy had a badass! 70 cutlass and he was putting a chevy stroker in it, 383 I think. sad but happy for me! So I got the complete motor minus carb for 1200 bucks! The heads alone are worth 2x that with the harland sharp roller rockers! Needless to say it was a good day. Btw I pulled the heads and intake when I got home and everything looks great on the top end. The motor had a blown head gasket and water in the oil but otherwise looked fine. We'll see how the block looks at a later date. I was just thrilled about the heads. I've been looking for a set of aluminum heads for awhile now. Just shows that patience and craigslist pays off. I found my 67 f85 post coupe on craigslist too. It's gonna be a marriage made in heaven.
