Almost did, but found what i needed cheaper.
My opinion that is high far as pricing.
69 253's are not that rare.
I have sold some in past and never got that much especially if they need rebuild which this one appears to need

I've bought stuff from Tim over the years too. His prices can be high, but it's his stuff. I've passed on stuff and also paid what he wanted because I needed the parts. I've also got bargains from him.
If you don't like his style move on I guess.

Bernhard- do you have a base plate to work with?
Is the exact number crucial?
I have handy right now photos of 3-4 1969 Carbs, mostly Toro '9252 models. One 'is 7029251. If one of those numbers would work for you, and you can put a non-Toro base plate or throttle arm in place, let me know. MAX price, for the NOS '9252 [needs choke pulloff maybe], is right about what that '9253 costs. The others are less costly. I can probably even find a proper '69 base plate here somewhere for a DIY carb fixer upper kit. If the final "3" in the application number isn't a deal breaker.

Tim is as good a guy you will ever deal with. He has invested a lot of time and $$$$ in his inventory. If I didn't know him as well as I do,I wouldn't defend him. Like I said in the deleted post of mine, nobody's parts are worth anything till they are selling them, then it's a different story.
