Sad with a hopefully happy ending

I've decided to sell my 1949 GMC Panel to help fund my Cutlass.
I really love the old beater (the GMC) but have way too many projects
and like my wife says we can fit the family in the Cutlass.
We are almost empty nesters but we can take friends in the Cutlass when we trust in more.
Just had to share.

Nice post. If there is a way to keep both, I would encourage you to do so if the truck holds special meaning for your family. If the economy wasn't so screwed up and I had extra cash to send you to fund the Cutlass and keep the truck, I'd do it. I hope you find a way to keep them both.

I grew up behind a hardware store that use one of those for deliveries. Eventually it just sat in back hidden from the street, about 25 years ago I woke up and remembered it and went by to see if it was still there, gone. Although I'd love to have that truck and understand how hard it would be to get rid of, in all reality you have one butt that can only be in one car at a time - I agree with the decision, sacrifice one for the joy of another

Who knows what will happen. Lots of people want it. Nobody wants to pay for it sign of the times.
I am not desperate to sell. It is 4th in line as far as projects.

1st V8 Volvo swap DD for my wife.
2nd Cutlass (can't wait-heck won't wait 455 is @ machine shop now)
3rd 66 Volvo Amazon wagon (wife had to have, at least she's into cars)
4th Panel

Heck I'm 46 now that list is too dang big for my energy level.
I have decided I won't give it away so maybe nobody will buck up and I'll keep it, which would be cool but the better wiser choice would be to let it go. I'll let ya all know what happens.

Have you tried to post it for sale over at the HAMB? Those guys would fit more into the category of prospective buyers than a general ad on ebay or CL. Good luck man.

I use to live less than a mile from this panel and was out fishing with my boy and decided to drive by the old house and since we were there I drove down the alley and the panel was still there. We know how that
turned out.
