Road Trip Charleston SC - Canton GA and back....with pictures!
So, we took the HAYMAN to from Charleston SC to Canton GA and back this past weekend.....
The car was my wife's Uncle's car (Uncle Paul was a hay farmer....aka the HAYMAN) and when he passed....we purchased it, one because we love the car and two, to keep it in the family.
Well, Uncle Paul and Aunt Betty's eldest grandchild was getting married and since Uncle Paul couldn't be there.....we could at least bring his car and escort Aunt Betty in style.
The car ran flawlessly.....we had one minor hiccup, the AC compressor ground wire came separated from the connector. Fortunately, that happened just as we were pulling out of the driveway. A 9/16's socket and a wire stripper/crimper and about 5 minutes and we were back in business.
It was hot AF in Atlanta and traffic was horrendous......but, the AC ran like a champ and with the addition of the pusher fan the temp hovered between 200-210 in the worst of it. I can live with that.
As a side note, running on the interstate has me wondering about the whole Gear Vendors overdrive thing......but that's a time and (mostly) money thing.
Anyhow, we had a great time. Amazing wedding. The car ran awesome. We laughed. We cried......and it was nice to bring the car home. Snapped some pics at the rehearsal and at the Aunt Betty's and Uncle Paul's
old homestead.

Crap! I didn't even think about shouting out to any fellow Olds fanatics!
I did randomly get asked if I would participate in a parade to chauffer a Homecoming queen in Canton on Oct 23rd....perhaps if we come back that weekend!
