road course tires.

my 71 has a ho racing suspension and firestone p235 60 14 tires ss. i needto replace them or get comparable performance from another tire any suggestions. i also need the rear tires to be 28 to 30 inches tall so my highway rpms can be lowered from 3450 at 85 mph that i ride at for 1.5 hrs to get there. i have a gvod but with a 342 gear it still needs to be lower like a 5 speed overdrive.

Not sure you can get a tire that tall on a 14'' rim. I have ECSTA ASX Good wet traction. And are like glue on a dry road. The fronts are with 225/50R17 and the rears are 255/50R17(28'' tall) tires. Had Goodyear's Eagle GT, all most took out my mail box on my wet street.
