Has anyone purchased the repro 71 up power window switches sold by Fusick and the Parts Place? I was wondering how good the chrome is and whether they function OK and last OK. Are they all from the same manufacturer? Thanks.

 

I looked at the 70 repos, they worked fine and looked great. I'm sure they are thinner gauge and less chrome but its hard to find 70s in great shape. Up until recently you could still find 71-76 switches at the dealers, I'd check there first. I also see those NOS on ebay occasionally.

The single square switches were repro'd by Dorman, and were available at various parts stores (Napa for one) a few years ago. They were under 20 apiece.

The four gang switch can be had used in other cars for cheap. I got one from a 76 Caprice 4dr, refurbished it, burnished the contacts, and has been trouble free for the past 3 years.
