Replace 1972 Oldsmobile Dash

Want to convert a non- AC vehicle to a production AC vehicle.

I think that conversation will also require modification of the firewall for the HVAC box.

It will I did it once to a 71 Cutlass S when you do it you will have to make a patch for the firewall because the heater box is different. Shouldn't have to modify anything else.

Or go with a Vintage Air kit which eliminates the need for an engine-side evap core.

Thank you for information. I'm sure I can complete the installation in same way u achieved your AC.
Did you replace the dash to disdribute the AC?

Installing a factory-style A/C system is a LOT of work. You need to remove the front bumper, grills, radiator, dash, and the right front fender. You need to cut the correct holes in the firewall. You need to replace the HVAC boxes on both sides of the firewall, add all the ducting, add the correct control head, add the vacuum hose harness to operate the A/C, swap out the accessory brackets, swap out the pulleys, add a clutch fan, add a larger radiator, add the condenser and plumbing, and then charge the system.

I did replace all the dash stuff,controls ect. It's a lot of work but if it's what you want why not
